While high-definition televisions slowly are becoming the norm, most content still is delivered over coaxial cable, which in turn is connected to the source of the TV signal, whether that's cable, satellite or antenna. HDTVs are capable of connecting to coaxial cables to get this content.

Step 1

Unplug the TV and any equipment connected to it from the power outlet.

Step 2

Reach the coaxial cable to the TV's "TV in" or "Cable in" jack located on the back of the TV.

Step 3

Press the cable gently into the port to secure it.

Step 4

Screw the cable clockwise onto the port if your coaxial cable port includes a screw.

Step 5

Attach the other end of the coaxial cable to your TV signal source. Screw in clockwise if necessary.

Step 6

Plug in the TV, TV signal source (if necessary) and any other equipment you disconnected.
