How to Change a Hughes Net Site Address

Hughes Net, like any other Internet Service Provider, assigns IP addresses (sometimes referred to as net site addresses) to a computer that connects to the Internet through its service. If you are connected to the Internet through a Hughes Net modem, you can change your IP address through a simple command on the computer's command line.

      Click on "Command Prompt" to open a command prompt window.

      Type "ipconfig /release" and press "Enter."
