1
Keep your paper lunch bag folded and put it to the side of your work space.
-
2
Cookie cutters make easy templates for different shapes. Select themed cookie cutters to trace shapes on construction paper. Choose balloons or cake for a birthday, for example, or an evergreen tree for Christmas. Choose a cookie cutter that represents the interests of the person for whom you're decorating the bag, if you'd like.

3
Hold the cookie cutter on the piece of construction paper and trace around the edge of the shape with a marker. Cut the shape out on the line. Cut out all your shapes, then lay them on the paper lunch bag so you can arrange them in the manner that you prefer.
-
4
Glue your construction paper shapes to the paper lunch bag using craft glue.
-
5
Cut out letters and pictures from old magazines to add to your paper lunch bag. Add the person's name in different style and sized letters or choose theme-related pictures. Glue the magazine pictures and letters onto the paper lunch bag.
-
6
Add sparkle to your decorated paper lunch bag with glitter. Place drops of craft glue on your lunch bag or draw a design with the glue. Sprinkle glitter onto the glue, then dump the excess glitter into the garbage.
-
7
Lay your paper lunch bag, decorated side up, on a flat surface to dry for a few hours.
