How to Hunt on the Oregon Trail

The Oregon Trail is a computer game in which players take on the role of a family traveling across the United States on the Oregon Trail. In the game, players must hunt for food for their family. The hunting process is vital to your survival in the game and requires some basic skill. Learning how to properly hunt increases your chances of beating this game.

Instructions

1. Wait until you are outside of a town or destination along the trail. You will not be able to access the hunting option while in a town.

2. Click the hunt option in the top corner of the screen.

3. Move your mouse to control the cross hairs of your gun. Position the cross hairs over a target and click your mouse to shoot a bullet. To compensate for faster moving animals, position the cross hairs in front of the direction the animal is moving and shoot early.
