Instructions

    • 1

Place a soft cloth on a table. Place the scratched Xbox 360 disk on the soft cloth, label side down. Apply a dab of metal polish to an edge of the lint-free cloth.

    • 2

Place the edge of the lint free cloth on the disk to the left of the scratch. Wipe the disk in a firm circular motion that carries the edge of the lint free cloth over the entire length of the scratch. Remove the edge of the lint free cloth from the disk after 30 seconds.

    • 3

Inspect the disk to see if the scratch has been filled in. Repeat the process with a clean edge of the lint-free cloth and additional metal polish if the scratch has not been filled in.

    • 4

Dispose of the lint-free cloth in the trash. Leave the Xbox 360 disk alone for five hours before using it with the game console again.

Tips & Warnings

  • Wear work gloves when handling the metal polish as it can be abrasive to exposed skin.

  • Applying too much pressure to the disk can cause it to crack.
