How to Access an Account Online with Bank of America

Accessing your account online is simple, particularly if you have already enrolled in Bank of America's online banking program. Even if you have not, you can do so in just a few minutes to gain access to your account-management screen.

Visit the official Bank of America website. If you are not registered, click "Enroll" and choose the type of account you want to enroll in online banking. You may choose checking or savings account, credit card, line of credit, or mortgage. Follow through the specific prompts to register for online access. The requirements vary depending on the type of account, but you'll generally need your name, address, and account number, or credit card number if you are registering a credit card. If you are already registered, simply type your username into the "Enter Online ID" box. Click "Sign In."

View your Bank of America "Site Key" on the page. This is the image you selected during the registration process. Be sure the image you see is the one you selected--this verifies that you entered your username correctly.

Type your password into the "Password" box. Click "Sign In" to access your Bank of America account online.
