How to Share ITunes Music Over a Network
ITunes Home Sharing allows you to share your iTunes media library with any computer on your network. You can stream media or download files by simply dragging and dropping them in your library. You will need a valid credit card to set up an Apple ID account if you have not already. Your Apple account will allow you to share multiple computers on your home network.

First Computer

Open iTunes.

Create an Apple account if you do not already have one. Click "Store" in the menu bar, then select "Create Account." Read and agree to the Apple Terms & Conditions. Complete the forms and input your billing information. Itunes will return you to the main program window when you have completed the setup.

Click on "Home Sharing" in the left panel of your iTunes program window. If no icon is visible, click "Advanced" in the menu bar and select "Enable Home Sharing." The Home Sharing startup screen will appear.

Enter your Apple ID and password, then click "Create Home Share."
Second Computer

Open iTunes on another computer.

Click "Advanced" on the menu bar, then select "Enable Home Sharing."

Input the same Apple account information from the first computer into the login fields. Repeat these steps for other computers you want to share.

Locate the computer(s) on your network under the "Shared" heading in the left panel of the iTunes window. Click to browse other computers' libraries.

Double-click a file to stream it over your network. Transfer content to the computer you are on by dragging the files you desire from the shared location and dropping them in your library.

Turn off Home Sharing by clicking "Advanced" in the menu bar and selecting "Turn Off Home Sharing."
