Attend all required interviews and pass any assessments required for the position in which you are applying. Many jobs will have some form of assessment, in addition to the interview, to help set candidates apart. In your interviews, be prepared to discuss your career goals and how Wal-Mart can help you reach your objectives. Even more important, prepare to discuss how you can contribute to Wal-Mart and help it meet company goals and objectives. Ask questions about Wal-Mart as well rather than simply answering questions. Such questions may include “Where does Wal-Mart see itself as an organization five-years from now?” or “How important is an experienced jewelry buyer for the new line of women’s accessories Wal-Mart plans to unveil next month?” Such questions show research before the interview and a keen interest to align your skills with Wal-Mart's objectives.
