Whether you want to brush up on your music theory, or you want to encourage your children or students to learn how to read music, you can find numerous music reading games online. Some are flash games, and some are games that you can download to your computer and play again and again.

Click on Emusictheory.com and read the list of online music reading games. You can choose to play games about note names, keys, fingerings or reading music in different key signatures. Click on the game you would like to play and wait for it to load. Some links will take you to a page where you can choose from several different games about the same subject.

Go to laco.org, or the Los Angeles County Orchestra's homepage. Here, you can find a list of kid’s activities, which include games about note reading and music reading. The site is updated every few weeks, and new music reading games are added occasionally. This can be a site that you visit often to play different games and learn how to read music online.

Click on Happynote.com and play the games on the page. These games let you practice reading music, choosing different notes, learning the clefs and key signatures and learning terminology and theory that goes along with the various music reading skills that you are honing.
