How to Make the Cosplay Costume From Vampire Knight
A cosplay costume is an outfit that a person wears in a role-play activity outside of the stage. Many cosplay costumes imitate Japanese manga or pop-culture stars. Vampire Knight is a popular Japanese manga about a school where vampires and students co-exist. The main character, Yuki Cross, is one of a few guardians at the school who protect the human students from the vampire students. Both the students and the guardians have similar styles of dress, so it is simple to recreate a cosplay costume from the Vampire Knight series.

1
Decide if you want to wear a white or black guardian costume. If white, you need the white jacket, skirt/pants and shoes with the black blouse and knee-socks. If black, you need the black jacket, skirt/pants, knee-socks and shoes with the white blouse.

2
Use white or black fabric paint to create the colored seams on the jacket. Paint white jackets with black paint and black jackets with white paint. Paint a line around the edges of the collar, the outer edges of the jacket and cuffs. Paint the front first, wait until it dries, and then paint the back of the jacket.

3
Assemble the outfit and put it on: jacket, blouse, skirt/pants, knee-socks (only for skirt) and shoes. Leave the blouse un-tucked from the skirt or pants.
-
4
Slide a white or black (opposite color of jacket) wristband up your left arm until it is around your bicep on the outside of the jacket.
-
5
Tie a red sash around your neck (under the collar of your jacket). Create a large, loose bow with long ends in front of your neck.
