How to Do Marketing With Post Cards
Postcards are a simple and cost-effective marketing technique that you can use to get your brand name out and bring in business. Make postcards to hand out to people you meet or do a mass mailing. Postcards can be used to announce a new product, offer specials and coupon discounts or even simply remind people you are in business.

1
Design your postcard. Use your logo, color graphics and photos as well as text. Make sure your phone number is large enough for someone to easily read it. It's usually best to have an attention-grabbing headline that will get people to read your postcard in the first place. You can design both sides or just one side and leave the other blank for mailing information. Check with the post office regarding regulations on space for mailing information so you stay within the requirements.
-
2
Print your postcard and cut out with a paper cutter or send to a professional printing company for prints. If printing yourself you'll need to print on a heavy cardstock paper.

3
Obtain a mailing list of people in the area you're targeting, or talk with the post office and purchase a mass mailing package where your postcard is sent to all mail customers within a certain area.
-
4
Hire a few people to hand out postcards to people in popular destinations in town such as grocery stores and any attractions, or hire people to put the postcards on windshields in parking lots. Instead of mailing to every home, you can also hire someone to walk around and place the postcards on doorsteps.
-
5
Distribute postcards through regular postal mail, handouts and drop offs for discounts, coupons, new specials and new product announcements.
-
6
Send out thank you postcards when a customer makes a larger purchase from you or signs up for a rewards club or membership (if offered).
