How to Upload Movies Into iTunes
Not only can you purchase movies from the iTunes store, you can upload your own DVD copies. However, the DVD must have a digital copy of the movie included on the DVD, so check your DVD before trying to upload it. It will not upload without the digital copy. Make sure you have the latest version of iTunes and an account in the iTunes store. Once your upload is done, you can transfer your movie to your iPod and take it with you.

- Mac or PC with a DVD drive
- iTunes account
- DVD with digital copy included

Open your iTunes program and put your DVD into your computer's DVD drive.

Select the DVD's icon once it appears in the iTunes window.

Type in your redemption code and select "Redeem" to begin uploading the digital copy of your DVD.

Type in your Apple user name and password.

Check the "Movies" tab after your download is done to make sure it downloaded properly.

Tips & Warnings
If your DVD doesn't automatically show up in the iTunes window, you may need to verify that the DVD does indeed have a digital copy before proceeding.
