Instructions

    • 1

Clean the entire tiled surface with ceramic tile cleaner. This removes any residue or old grout sealer that would prevent the grout colorant from adhering properly. Let the surface dry completely.

    • 2

Pour a small amount of grout colorant into a paint tray. Apply the grout colorant to the grout with an artist's paintbrush. Run the paintbrush along each grout line, leaving behind a thin coat of grout colorant.

    • 3

Let the grout colorant dry according to the manufacturer's instructions. Generally, this will be an hour. Apply a second coat of grout colorant when the first coat is dry.

    • 4

Remove excess grout colorant from the tiles by scrubbing gently with a wet, light-duty, plastic scouring pad.

Tips & Warnings

  • Let new grout cure for 30 days before applying grout colorant.

  • Don't use regular paint on your grout, because it won't soak into the grout and will flake off.
