Printing on Edible Rice Paper

Print edible documents with rice paper and edible ink.

Edible rice paper are sheets of compressed rice (with a few other ingredients) that are turned into paper you can use for decorations. The paper is edible, so you may print items on the rice sheets--as long as you use edible ink. The process is almost exactly like printing a standard document; you just need to make sure to switch out all the items with the edible products first.

Things You'll Need

• Edible rice paper
• Edible computer ink
• Printer
• Computer

Instructions

1. Open up the front of your printer tray and remove the current ink cartridges. Insert the edible ink cartridges in their place (you may find these at most arts and crafts stores).

2. Close the printer, then remove all paper currently housed in the printer. Insert the edible rice paper in the other product's place.

3. Power on the printer and your computer. Launch the software you used to create the document you wish to print.

4. Select "File," "Open" and choose the document you want to print on the edible rice paper.

5. Click "File," "Print," then click "OK"; the document prints on your edible rice paper.
