How to Make a Memorial Candle for a Wedding
Candles provide a beautiful and elegant decorative touch to your wedding. Memorial candles serve not just as decoration at your wedding reception, but as gifts to honor and remember relatives and friends who have passed away. Honor your loved ones by taking the time to make make memorial candles for them and to remember them on your special day.

1
Decide what your memorial candle should say, and compose the message in a word processing program. For example, you might write, "In loving memory of our grandparents." Choose a printer ink color and font you like, and print your message first on plain printer paper. Put the parchment printer paper in your printer, and print out the memorial candle labels when you are satisfied with your message.

2
Cut out your printed candle label, wrap it around the candle, and glue it in place.

3
Glue on faux pearls and crystals. You can glue these to the candle, but they may stick better on the memorial candle label.
-
4
Tie an organdy ribbon that matches your wedding colors around the bottom third of the candle, and form a bow. Glue the bow part of the ribbon to the front of the candle label to keep the decoration from slipping off the candle.
-
5
Thread a small sprig of faux white flowers such as baby's breath or lilies through the bow. Tighten the bow to hold the sprig in place.

Tips & Warnings
Use a white glue stick for gluing. Colored glue sticks may make it easier to see where you are applying the glue stick, but the colored glue may not dry clear on the candle wax.
