How to Install Builder's Edge Shutters
Shutters are a relatively inexpensive way to enhance the look of the exterior of a home. They can be placed on wood, vinyl, aluminum, hardboard, brick, stucco, masonry or aluminum. According to Builder’s Edge, installation of any style of the Builder’s Edge line of shutters can be completed in minutes. The shutters are installed with patented Easy-Lok fasteners, which are included with the shutters, and simply snap into place. The only skill needed to install the shutters is the ability to use a power drill.

Drill a hole in each corner of the shutter with a 1/4-inch drill bit for the Easy-Loks. Shutters under 55 inches only require four Easy-Loks, which should be placed on the corners. Shutters that are 55 inches or more in size will require six Easy-Loks. The Easy-Loks should be placed in each corner, with two Easy-Loks being placed on the outer edges in the center of the shutter.

Hold the supporting shank of an Easy-Lok and push it through the shutter and into the hole in the wall. Lightly tap the end of the Easy-Lok with a hammer. Repeat with the remaining Easy-Loks.
