How to Make a Bloody Shirt

To increase the fun at a costume party or concert, make and then wear a "bloody" shirt. Spazztic Crafts recommends using a shirt that is either 100 percent cotton or mostly cotton. You can use any sleeve length. While making a bloody shirt, the paint from one side of the shirt may bleed into the other side. Peel the back away from the front to keep them from sticking. Should they dry sticking together, just carefully pull the two sides apart.

    • 2

Put the shirt on the hanger. Hang the shirt outside or in an area where you don't mind if paint lands.

    • 3

Pour the red fabric paint onto a paper plate or in a pie pan. Dip the paint roller into the paint and roll it over the shirt.

    • 4

Dip the paint brush into the paint and flick the bristles over all sides of the shirt to add spots and splashes.

    • 5

Throw away the paper plate or pie pan. Wash out the brush and roller. Leave the shirt to dry for about 24 hours.

Tips & Warnings

  • The more paint you use, the stiffer your shirt will be.
