1
Buy or find a large cork board. A three by two feet cork board will be good if you have up to 60 long necklaces. Of course, if you have a smaller collection, you can always buy a smaller cork board.
-
2
Go outside and lay some newspaper down on the ground. Lay the cork board face-up on the newspaper and spray paint the entire surface to make it the color that you want. White is ideal for the cork board necklace stand, or even black or silver. Colors like this will be pleasing to the eye against all of your colorful jewelry. Don't touch the cork board for about three hours to let it dry completely.

3
Add a pretty frame to the cork board. Dab some hot glue on the edges and run a strip of pretty fabric, lace or decorative paper along each side. Glue small three-dimensional objects to the frame for more decoration.

4
Stick thumb tacks to the cork board (the ones with a protruding back) in a color that matches the color of the board, or use clear ones. Space them at least 1 inch away from each other horizontally and three inches vertically. Arrange them in a zig-zag pattern (the tacks in the second row placed diagonally from the ones in the first row) so that the necklaces won't be hanging over one another. This will give you two rows of up to 30 tacks.
-
5
Place your cork board on two tabletop stands, or on a floor stand.
