If you have games on your PC that you want to transfer to another PC or you want a backup copy of the games for safekeeping–then copy the PC games to a disk that you can insert into another computer. The process to copy PC games to a disk requires only the most basic computer skills.

      Open your computer’s CD-RW drive and insert a blank CD-R within the drive. Close the drive.

      Click “Start.” Click “My Computer.” Locate the PC games that you want to copy to a disk. Drag and drop the entire folder containing all the files for the PC game to the blank CD-R drive.

      Click on the “Write these files to CD” link located in the top of the left navigation pane. Follow the steps within the CD writing wizard to complete the process of copying the PC games to a disk.

Tips & Warnings

  • Use a CD-RW (rewritable CD) in case you make an error and need to rewrite over the data.

  • Some copyrighted material can't be copied onto a disk.

  • Never sell any PC games that you copy to a disk that you do not own the rights to because it's illegal.
