How to Set Up Gift Boxes
Setting up gift boxes at a gift registry table for a wedding, baby shower or other formal event requires organizational skills and attention to detail. If you set gift boxes haphazardly on a table, it can throw off the look of the entire room. An unorganized gift registry table appears cluttered and chaotic at best. Set gift boxes in a particular style or decorative design to maximize space and use the table as a centerpiece for the room. Station a helper at the table to set each gift box according to one of three style options, all of which are easy to arrange.
Instructions
-
Size
-
1
Stack gift boxes according to size. Gift boxes are available in sizes small to extra-large with custom gift boxes featuring unusual shapes and sizes.
-
2
Put custom and oddly-shaped gift boxes to the side and arrange standard size gift boxes into three groups; each group must contain four to five gift boxes ranging in size from small to large.
-
-
3
Stack the gift boxes from the ground up moving from largest to smallest. Each set of boxes will form a kind of pyramid. Depending on how many gift boxes there are, you will end up with four to five pyramids across the gift table.
-
4
Arrange the custom gift boxes around the pyramids in an artful design.
Color
-
5
Sort gift boxes by color. Gift boxes are available in a range of patterns and solid colors including blue, green, pink, gray, black, orange, red and white.
-
6
Arrange gift boxes in groups along a table based on complimentary color combination. For example, pair pink gift boxes with gray gift boxes for a complimentary color scheme.
-
7
Incorporate the color scheme of the wedding into the forefront of the display.
Patterns
-
8
Mix and match designs. Gift boxes are available in stripes and patterns as well as prints.
-
9
Pair stripes and wild patterns for an eye-catching display. Stack four to five gift boxes alternating between patterns.
-
10
Top each stack of gift boxes with a solid-colored box in a coordinating color. This balances the look of the table and strengthen the effect you’ve created with the gift boxes.
