How to Block a Music CD From Making a Copy

How to Block a Music CD From Making a Copy thumbnail
Prevent others from making a copy of your music CD.

It is necessary to add copy protection to your music CDs; without protection, anybody can rip or steal the music off the CD and distribute it on the Internet. No musician wants her music being used without her consent. To add copy protection, you will have to use copy protection software. Most copy protection applications work almost the same way. In fact, only the commands and options are a bit different.

Instructions

  1. Method 1

    • 1

Download and install Web Tool Master CD Protect.

    • 2

      Launch the application after installation.

    • 3

Place your burned music CD in the computer’s CD ROM drive.

    • 4

Click the button that says “Wizard” on the left-hand menu of WTM CD Protect.

    • 5

Click on “Image” on the “Wizard” window. Now select your CD from the list.

    • 6

Select all the files on the CD that you want to protect. Click “Open.”

Select “Audio” as the file type.

    Method 2
