How to Install a Projector Screen
A television can be a huge commitment for home decoration. Not only can it take up floor space, it can also take up wall space that could look more attractive with a hanging picture or photo. A projector screen coupled with a digital projector will give you more of a movie theater feel when you're watching movies or television and it will allow you to roll up the screen when you're not. But installing a heavy item like a projector can be intimidating without a basic knowledge of mounting.

1
Choose a wall in your home with enough horizontal space to accommodate a screen (projector screen sizes vary, but four to five feet is a good approximation). Measure the distance between the mounting arms on the projection screen. Slide the stud finder on the wall and listen for beeps to inform you of the location of studs. Mark the studs with your pencil.

2
Hold a liquid level flush across the top of the projector and place the projector screen against the wall. Line up the mounting arms of the screen with the marked studs. Adjust the screen until the bubble in the level is dead center and hold the screen in this position with one hand while you pencil in the screw holes with your free hand.

Hold the screen with the screw holes of one mounting arm against its marking. Drill the mounting screw through the hole, but do not drill it all the way into the wall just yet. Adjust the opposite mounting arm so that its screw hole matches the appropriate marking and drill the mounting screw all the way in place. Finish drilling the original screw.
