Duct tape, a hardware supply that has captured the imagination and creativity of millions, can be used to make almost anything, including brightly colored gift wrapping bows. Duct tape comes in a wide variety of colors, so you can make a duct tape bow to match any wrapping paper or for any occasion. You could even make these bows multicolored, or stick to the classic silver duct tape.

  • Duct tape
  • Scissors
  • Stapler

Instructions

      Cut eight strips of duct tape, twice as long as the desired diameter for the bow.

      Fold each strip in half the long way, placing the sticky sides together. Go slowly, and work carefully, as it is difficult to unstick duct tape once it’s stuck.

      Fold one end of the strip to meet the center. Do not crease the folds. Repeat on the other side. You should now have a doubled strip, half as long as you originally cut it.

      Repeat on the remaining seven strips.

      Stack the strips, offsetting each one to form a star shape, like a gift wrapping bow.

      Staple the strips together, placing the staple in the center of the bow.
