How to Work a Bearcat BC92XLT Scanner

A Bearcat BC92XLT scanner isn't the type of scanner you use to get pictures onto your computer. Instead, it's a radio frequency scanner used to listen to police and emergency services broadcasts. Working the Bearcat BC92XLT scanner involves programming in a local frequency that you can listen to. You can do this by scanning the channels automatically, or by manually entering in a channel you already know.

Press "Power" to turn on your Bearcat BC92XLT scanner.

Allow your Bearcat BC92XLT scanner to scan for new channels automatically, which it will do upon powering up. The scanner will locate a channel with programming and play five seconds of it before moving onto the next channel. If you hit a channel you want to save, hit the "E" button to stop scanning and then the "Save" button to save that frequency in your scanner's memory.
