How to Wear a Mantilla Wedding Veil

Originally made popular in Spain during the late 1800's, the mantilla is still a very common veil style worn by brides seeking a traditional look on their wedding day. Commonly associated with brides of the Catholic faith, the mantilla is an elegant, lace trimmed veil appropriate for a church wedding. While the intricate lace trim and long train are classic symbols of elegance, the mantilla can sometimes be a confusing veil style to wear. Does this Spark an idea?

      Have you hair styled for your wedding day before applying the veil. Hairspray, gel and other styling products should all be applied prior to the veil to avoid damaging the lace.

      Insert the comb of the mantilla veil into your hair at the top of your head, approximately one inch behind your bangs.

      Arrange the veil so that the lace trim is framing your face and shoulders. The comb will keep the veil securely attached to your head so that it can be worn throughout the ceremony and the reception if you so choose.
