Download a registry cleaner. Perform a search to see what other consumers have written about the registry cleaner you choose before downloading it to make sure it is the most appropriate registry cleaner for you. Once downloaded, this tool searches your computer's hard drive for extensions that are no longer used; these unused extensions are usually due to removing a program on your computer but not being fully cleaned out of your hard drive.
