How to Install a Satellite Using Prewired Cable
If you have had a satellite dish previously installed in your home there is no reason to have all the cables reinstalled. This is because the connection cables used for the previous installation are still in place, making it far easier for the new satellite hookup. The satellite technician is going to take care of attaching the cable to the satellite dish while you are able to plug in the current cable into your new satellite receiver.
Instructions

1
Locate the coaxial cable entering your home. This is from the previous satellite connection and is now hooked up to your new satellite dish (if the technician has already performing the hook up).
-
2
Connect the coaxial cable into the "In" port on your receiver.
-
-
3
Plug the RCA audio/video cables into the "Video Out" ports on the satellite receiver. These ports are red, white and yellow and you need to make sure the connected RCA cables match.
-
4
Insert the opposite end of the cables into the "Video In" port on your television. As with the satellite receiver, make sure the cable connection and ports match.
-
5
Power on the satellite receiver and the TV. Push "Video" on the television and the satellite programming, running through the prewired connection, appears on the screen.
