How to Hook Up an XBox 360 Headset
The Xbox 360 headset allows players to communicate with other Xbox 360 gamers through the Xbox Live network. Using the headset, you can bark orders to your teammates, issue warnings, talk to your friends in one of the numerous game lobbies or even talk a little trash before and after a match. Hooking up the Xbox 360 headset is as easy as can be and takes but a few seconds of your time.

Put on your headset and flip the switch on the headset's cable so that you can see the green portion of the switch, which is the "On" position (the "Off" position is the orange portion of the switch). That's it, just talk into your headset to begin communicating with other players in the game!

Tips & Warnings
If you want to listen in to other players but don't want to talk, simply turn your headset's switch to the "Off" position. You will still be able to hear other players as long as the headset is plugged in and you are wearing it but the microphone will be disabled.
