Cleaning Leather Upholstery
Leather upholstery in your home and car needs cleaning occasionally, just like any other type of upholstery. When you are cleaning the leather, the cleaning solution must be safe for the leather, must noot use excess amounts of water that can damage the leather, and must keep the leather moisturized to prevent cracking. A low-cost cleaning solution that meets all of these requirements can be made at home. Does this Spark an idea?

Mix one part vinegar and two parts linseed oil in a large bowl.

Lightly dip a cloth into the mixture to absorb a bit of the cleaning solution, and squeeze the cloth back out with your fingers so no cleaner is dripping off the cloth.

Wipe the cloth firmly over the leather upholstery, and you will notice a light layer of the oil stays behind on the leather surface. This is normal, and should be left on overnight.

Wipe off the excess the following morning with a new cloth, and the leather upholstery will be cleaned and shined.
