- Baseball-glove conditioner
- Orange oil
- Olive oil
- Shoe polish
- Oil-based furniture polish
- Leather-repair kit
- Cotton balls
- Soft cloth

Spread a small amount of baseball-glove conditioner on the scratches using the cotton balls. Let it set on the leather chair for three to five hours. Wipe the conditioner away with the soft cloth, and the scratches should have disappeared. This method works for minor scratches. Baseball-glove conditioner is available at sporting-goods stores.

Spread a small amount of orange oil, olive oil or oil-based furniture polish on the scratches on the leather chair using a cotton ball. Let it set for two to five minutes. Wipe away with a soft cloth. Olive oil is the most common and available at grocery stores. Oil-based furniture polish also is fairly common and available in cleaning sections of grocery stores. Orange oil is not as common, but is available in specialty food stores and online. All of these oils are effective when used on minor scratches.

Use shoe polish to repair minor to moderate scratches on your leather chair. Buy shoe polish in a color that matches your leather chair and spread a small amount on the scratched area with the included polishing pad. Use a soft cloth to wipe up any excess polish. Common colors like black, white and brown are available in most grocery stores, while rarer colors are available at shoe stores and online.

Use a special leather-repair kit for moderate-to-deep scratches on your leather chair. These kits are available at department stores, furniture stores, leather goods stores and online.
