Instructions

    • 1

Measure the hole according to the size of the bottom pole of your Lifetime system. Consult your utility company to ensure that you are digging in a place that will not interfere with gas, power or water lines.

    • 2

MIx and pour concrete into the hole according to the directions on the bag. Depending on the concrete mix that you use, you may only need to add clean water to the mix and stir it. Fill the hole in the ground to the top.

    • 3

Insert the pole into the hole and allow the concrete to harden (cure) around it. The pole may be in multiple parts depending on your model. The curing process will begin after two hours and can continue for several days. Allow adequate time for curing in order to avoid cracking and other imperfections.

    • 4

Connect the pole to the backboard using the nuts, screws and washers that are included with the assembly parts for your Lifetime system. Exercise caution if you are using a ladder during this portion of the assembly.

    • 5

Attach the rim to the backboard by tightening the nuts and adjust the tension of the rim. Using a carpenter's level can ensure that the rim is horizontal.

    • 6

Attach the extension arms, using the pole brackets, and any parts that will allow you to adjust the height of the rim. The top of the rim should be 10 feet above the court.

    • 7

Lock the system locked into place by connecting all parts of the backboard and rim to the pole in the ground. All holes should be aligned.

    • 8

Hang the net on the rim by inserting it between the loops and hooks.

Tips & Warnings

  • Some portions of assembly may require more than one adult. For safety purposes, have three adults on hand during the assembly process.
