How to Use a Bunn Coffee Pot

Using a Bunn coffee pot is easy.

Brewing your own coffee at home can be much cheaper than purchasing a cup at a coffee shop or bakery. One appliance that lets you brew coffee at home is a Bunn coffee pot. It allows you to choose the flavor of coffee that you prefer and also the amount you want to brew, allowing you to be more economical. Instructions for using a Bunn coffee pot are relatively simple. You may have to play around with the amount of coffee grounds you use to suit your personal taste preferences.

Things You'll Need

• Bunn coffee maker
• Coffee filter
• Water
• Coffee grounds

Instructions

1. Insert a coffee filter into the brew funnel on your Bunn coffee maker.

2. Fill the coffee filter with the appropriate amount of coffee grounds for the amount of coffee you want to brew. Typically, one heaping tablespoon of coffee grounds is used for one cup of coffee.

3. Slide the brew funnel back into place using the funnel guides, and open the top lid once it is in place.

4. Pour cold water into the top of the funnel where the lid is open. A maximum of ten cups can be poured into the funnel.

5. Place the coffee decanter below the funnel on the base of the coffee maker.

6. Close the lid of the funnel. This will start the flow of water through the coffee grinds and into the decanter.

Tips & Warnings

• To keep your coffee grounds fresh, keep them in a clean and dry place.

• Clean your decanter every day with mild dish soap and water.

• Avoid letting the decanter sit on the brewer warmer for more than 30 minutes.

• Make sure the decanter is in place before you close the lid on the funnel, because closing the lid releases hot water.
