1
Visit the FedEx store closest to you. The stores recently changed their name to "FedEx Office" but many may still have the name "Kinkos." You can find one in the phone book or online.
-
2
Select the FedEx box or envelope that best fits your package. An assortment of packaging is available to accommodate most sizes and shapes of shipments. Already packaged boxes that are ready to ship, just require a shipping label.

-
3
Fill out the shipping label. Include your name, address and phone number along with the same information for the recipient. You will then have the option on the same form of selecting overnight shipping, delivery confirmation and if you are charging the cost to an existing FedEx account.
-
4
Bring the package and the shipping label to the main counter and pay for the shipping. You can also confirm that you filled everything out correctly and that the package will get to its destination in a time frame acceptable to you.
-
5
Take the receipt and keep it in case there are any issues with the shipment.

Tips & Warnings
Set up an account with FedEx if you use it regularly to receive shipping discounts. You can also print shipping labels from home off their website.
Some businesses have accounts set up where FedEx makes regular pickups and charges it to the company account. There should be packaging materials and labels on-site that you can use. The delivery man will then take the package for you.
You can print FedEx labels online through the company's website (see Resources) and calculate your shipping costs through the shipping calculator on the site. You can then schedule a private pickup. FedEx will send someone to your home to get the package.
