Make your very own 3D glasses.

Lighting gels are used to adjust the color of lighting used in both photo and video shoots. These lighting gels come in all colors and are typically made out of plastic polycarbonate. If you no longer need to use the acetate for lighting it is possible to perform a variety of arts and craft projects, including creating your very own 3D glasses to view 3D images.

Things You'll Need

  • Red lighting gel
  • Blue lighting gel
  • Scissors
  • Pencil
  • Eyeglasses
  • Tape

Instructions

    • 1

      Remove the lenses from an old pair of glasses or sunglasses you no longer use. All you need is the frames of the glasses.

    • 2

      Trace the shape of the open eye frames onto the lighting gel. The left side of the eye glasses is the blue gel and the right side of the glasses are red.

      Cut the lighting gels along the traced lines .

    • 4

      Place the lighting gels on the open eye glasses. Tape around the sides of the gels to attach them to your frames. Once set you are ready to begin viewing your 3D images.
