How to Angle Sims 2 Furniture in a Corner

The Sims 2 is a life simulation game in which you can create characters, or Sims, and live their lives. One prominent feature in the game is your ability to build houses for your Sims. Once you build a house, you can also buy and arrange furniture for the house. The Sims 2: University expansion pack introduced a cheat that gives you the ability to place furniture at a 45-degree angle, allowing you to angle furniture diagonally in corners to make more room for other furniture.

Instructions

    • 1

Press the "Ctrl," "Shift," and "C" keys on your keyboard simultaneously to access the cheats console window.

    • 2

Type "boolProp allow45DegreeAngleOfRotation true" without quotation marks into the console window and press "Enter." This will activate the cheat and close the cheats console window.

    • 3

Select the "Grab" button and click on the piece of furniture you want to place at an angle. Move the furniture to the corner you want it to be in, then press the "<" or ">" keys on your keyboard to rotate the furniture to a 45-degree angle.

Tips & Warnings

  • Diagonal furniture does not have to be placed at corners of rooms, but doing so will give you more space to fit other furniture into that room.

  • If the cheat doesn't work for you at first, double check to make sure you typed it in correctly. Cheat codes are case-sensitive, so every capital or lower-case letter and space must be typed exactly how you see it.

  • Type "boolProp allow45DegreeAngleOfRotation false" into the cheat console window without quotation marks to turn the cheat off.

  • Leaving a cheat activated at all times can give your game glitches. Only use the 45-degree angle cheat when you need it.
