How to Build a Golf Ball Display
Golf balls come with many logos and names that are printed for special events or for a particular type of product. When you have specific golf balls that you want to show off, you can build a wooden display rack for this purpose. This can be done by first determining how big to make the display--a common display that holds 12 golf balls can be 8 inches wide by 10 inches high by 3 inches deep.
Things You'll Need
- ½-inch wood boards
- Tape measure
- Pencil
- Circular saw
- Table saw
- Power drill
- Wood glue
- Finish nails
- Nail gun
- Wood tees
- Hand saw
Instructions

1
Measure and mark the wood board for the frame of the display with the tape measure and pencil. For a 12-ball display, two pieces will need to be 8 inches and two pieces will need to be 10 inches. Three additional pieces for the shelves will need to be 7 inches.
-
2
Cut the wood to the required length with the circular saw or use a table saw.

-
3
Adjust the angle of the table saw blade to 45 degrees and set the guide to 1/2 inch. Run the end of each cut piece of wood over the blade on the saw. This will put a 45-degree cut on the ends of the wood.
-
4
Measure the two 10-inch pieces with the tape measure and make a mark with the pencil every 2 inches. This marks the location for the shelves.
-
5
Assemble the pieces of wood together to create a box shape. Drill two holes in each corner with the power drill. Apply wood glue to the edges of each cut piece of wood. Place the pieces of wood back together. Drive a finish nail into each hole with the nail gun to secure the frame together.
-
6
Place the three 7-inch pieces inside the frame on the pencil marks you made in Step 5. Drill two holes into the side of the frame and into the shelves with the power drill. Apply wood glue to the edges of each piece of wood and place them back in the frame. Drive a finish nail into each hole to secure the shelves to the frame.
-
7
Cut the top off of 12 white wooden tees. Apply wood glue to the bottom of the tee top and set them on each shelf two inches apart. Wait at least 12 hours for the glue to dry.
-
8
Set the display on a table and then place a golf ball on each tee to complete the project.

Tips & Warnings
Cutting 45-degree angles on the pieces of wood will make the display stronger and last longer.
