How to Care for JL Coquet Dinnerware
JL Coquet dinnerware is crafted from fine Limoges porcelain. Limoges is made of a very hard paste, derived from kaolin. This, along with the unique designs offered by JL Coquet--often in elaborate gold and platinum--makes this dinnerware strong and beautiful. Proper care will keep this dinnerware looking presentable for years, even generations, to come. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

1
Let your dinnerware come to room temperature if it is very hot or very cool before washing it. The sudden temperature change can crack porcelain.
-
2
Clean your JL Coquet dinnerware by hand in warm water, using a mild dish detergent. Take care not to knock the dinnerware against the sink or other hard objects; it will chip. Use a soft, clean and nonabrasive sponge to avoid scratching the glaze or any metallic design elements. The dinnerware should be cleaned soon after use so food does not dry and stick. If the latter does occur, soak the dinnerware in the warm water with detergent before attempting to clean it with a sponge.

3
Rinse the dinnerware under running water and then dry it with a soft terry cloth or microfiber cloth. These are absorbent and will also aid in bringing out the soft shine to the dinnerware as you dry.
-
4
Store your dinnerware in a china hutch when you are not using it. Although this hard porcelain is durable, it can break or chip if dropped; therefore, consider a hutch with glass doors rather than an open hutch.
-
5
Use a soft dusting cloth (such as terry or microfiber) to dust the dinnerware between cleanings. Even in a china hutch, dust may settle on the dinnerware, making it appear dull.
