How to Print Raffle Tickets

Set up a location where ticket buyers can turn in winning raffle tickets.

Raffles are commonly used to raise money for schools, churches and other organizations. Raffle tickets offer a fun way for event organizers to raise money for events. People are encouraged to buy tickets because with each drawing a specified number of ticket holders are awarded prizes. Instead of buying generic raffle tickets, make your own. Using a basic ticket template, you can design sheets of raffle tickets and then print them out later.

Instructions

    • 1

Design custom raffle tickets online. Choose a template or create a custom design using your own images and graphics. Upload images as directed and arrange the layout according to your preference.

    • 2

Enter the name of the organization that is sponsoring the raffle, the location where the raffle will take place, the prize that is being raffled and the date of the drawing.

    • 3

Enter the raffle ticket number on one side of the ticket. A raffle ticket number is a unique number that is printed on each raffle ticket and is not repeated on any other raffle ticket.

    • 4

Create a cut off section, which can be located at the bottom of the raffle ticket or as a separate raffle ticket. Your printer will not be able to perforate the raffle ticket, so don’t worry about trying to distinguish the section as separate from the raffle ticket. You will simply cut it off before turning the raffle ticket over to the purchaser.

    • 5

Enter a set of lines on the cut-off section so the ticket purchaser can write his name, address and phone number. Enter the raffle ticket number that goes with the cut off section.

    • 6

Print the raffle ticket using card-stock paper. Insert standard size card-stock paper into the paper feeder of your printer. Add the amount of paper needed to complete the print job, which will depend on how many sheets of raffle tickets you are printing.

    • 7

Click “Print Preview” to view the raffle tickets. Check that the cut-off section of the raffle ticket is within the appropriate margin. If it is not, click “Page Layout,” and then “Margins.” Adjust the margins by adding or subtracting space on the sides, top and bottom of your document.

    • 8

Click “Print” to print your raffle tickets.
