How to Get an Azure Flute to Work

Use the Azure Flute to capture the legendary Arceus.

The Azure Flute is a special item in Pokemon Platinum for the Nintendo DS. This item opens the way to Arceus, the legendary Pokemon. The flute is not available through normal means. In order to get the flute, go to a special Pokemon event, such as those held in toy stores. At these events, you can download a mystery box and receive the Azure Flute as a special gift.

Instructions

1. Attend a Pokemon event. These events are usually held at toy stores, amusement parks and Pokemon Card Game Tournaments. Keep an eye out for an announcement for your area.

2. Download the Azure Flute during the event by choosing "Download via WiFi" from the game's main menu. Follow the on-screen instructions to get the flute.

3. Progress through the game until you have beaten the Elite Four and possess the National Dex.

4. Return to Mount Coronet and stand on top of the Spear Pillar.

5. Stand in the spot where you fought Dialga/Palkia during the main story. You will know you are in the right location when the game asks if you want to play the Azure Flute.

6. Affirm that you want to play the Azure Flute and wait for the song to finish. A staircase that leads to the Hall of Origin and Arceus will appear.

Tips & Warnings

• It is also possible to add the Azure Flute to your inventory using an Action Replay Device, although this method is not reliable, as the game may not recognize it as a legitimate item.
