How to Invest in Silver Rounds

Investing in silver rounds is a practical method for precious metal investors to accumulate silver. Silver rounds are silver disks containing 1 ounce or more of 99.9 percent fine silver, the same silver purity level as the silver American Eagle coins struck by the U.S. Mint. However, they are not monetized and have no value as legal tender. Many bullion dealers, coin dealers and private mints sell silver rounds for those looking to invest in them.

Instructions

    • 1

Contact one or more dealers selling silver rounds, such as CMI Gold & Silver, The Tulving Company or Sunshine Minting, Inc. (see References and Resource). Explain to each that you wish to purchase some silver rounds for investment purposes.

    • 2

Request a price quote from each dealer. Depending on their overhead, their prices may vary slightly.

    • 3

Compare the price quotes you receive, and select the lowest one.

    • 4

Complete your purchase by either bank wire transfer or credit card. Once the financial transaction has successfully processed, the dealer will ship your silver rounds directly to your home or business in nondescript packaging.

    • 5

Store your silver rounds in a safe secure location.
