How to Hang Mini Blinds
Mini blinds are among the most standard window blinds. They are popular, economical and standard in installation. They don’t detract from the window and you can hang a drapery valance above them if you wish to add more flare. Does this Spark an idea?

Install the Hardware

Measure 6 inches above the window for an outside mount. Mark this spot with a pencil.

Measure 3 inches out from either side of the window. Mark these spots with a pencil. Now find the meeting place of these spots and the 6 inches above the window. This is where you will install the brackets.

If your window is larger than 36 inches, you will have additional installation brackets. Evenly space them between the outside markings.

Use a level to check that the pencil marks are even before you begin drilling.

Drill holes in each spot for the installation brackets.

Hold the installation brackets up to the holes. Insert the screws through the center holes and tighten them.
Hang the Blinds

Hold the blinds so the outside faces you.

Slide the head rail into the brackets at an angle.

Push the head rail into the brackets while straightening so it’s parallel to the wall. You should hear a click when the head rail is in place.

Remove the protective wrapping.

Unwind the cords and lower the blinds.

Tips & Warnings
If your mini blinds come with a looped cord, cut the end of the cord and tie knots so children and pets will not strangle themselves.
