Instructions

  1. Install the Hardware

    • 1

Measure 6 inches above the window for an outside mount. Mark this spot with a pencil.

    • 2

Measure 3 inches out from either side of the window. Mark these spots with a pencil. Now find the meeting place of these spots and the 6 inches above the window. This is where you will install the brackets.

    • 3

If your window is larger than 36 inches, you will have additional installation brackets. Evenly space them between the outside markings.

    • 4

Use a level to check that the pencil marks are even before you begin drilling.

    • 5

Drill holes in each spot for the installation brackets.

    • 6

Hold the installation brackets up to the holes. Insert the screws through the center holes and tighten them.

    Hang the Blinds

    • 7

Hold the blinds so the outside faces you.

    • 8

Slide the head rail into the brackets at an angle.

    • 9

Push the head rail into the brackets while straightening so it’s parallel to the wall. You should hear a click when the head rail is in place.

    • 10

      Remove the protective wrapping.

    • 11

Unwind the cords and lower the blinds.

Tips & Warnings

  • If your mini blinds come with a looped cord, cut the end of the cord and tie knots so children and pets will not strangle themselves.
