Wood Letters
-
1
Select wood letters to spell out the name of the baby. Wood letters can be found at a hobby store or discount store. The letters are available in different sizes and are lightweight.
-
2
Purchase acrylic craft paint and craft brushes. Choose colors that complement the room's décor. Place the letters on newspapers and paint the letters. Two coats of paint may be needed to cover the wood. Allow each coat of paint to dry before adding additional coats.

Glue small novelty items to the letters at different locations using craft glue. Purchase small figures at the same store as the wood letters. An assortment of wood or plastic figures are available, such as whimsical insects, teddy bears, small dolls or toy trucks. One figure per letter is a good rule to follow. Arrange the figures in such a way as to keep the letters visually balanced.
-
4
Cut 12-inch lengths of yarn for each letter. Glue both ends of the yarn to the back of the letter using craft glue. Allow the glue to dry completely. Use a colored push pin or picture hook to hang the letter to the wall.

-
7
Cut a picture to fit the size of the frame from the storybook and place the picture inside the frame. Replace the cardboard backing and bend the prongs to secure.
