While it may be a little more time consuming than just plugging in an automatic drip pot, making a great cup of perfect French press coffee is pretty easy.

• Press pot
• Coarse ground coffee
• Water
• Pot
• Wood or plastic spoon

Instructions

How to Make a French Press

1. Ensure that your press pot is clean and free of old coffee remnants.

2. Pour your coarse ground coffee in the press pot.

3. Put water in the pot.

4. Put the stove temperature on high and heat water until just a few seconds before it boils.

5. Pour the water into the press pot and stir for a few seconds with a non-metal spoon.

6. Let the coffee steep for four minutes.

7. Press the plunger slowly until you have pushed it to the bottom of the pot.

8. Pour and enjoy!
