How to Sell Music Loops
Music production is an ever-growing sector of the entertainment industry that has become even more prominent with advances in digital audio recording, production and engineering. Producers around the world create full songs and loops to sell all over the Internet. Sites such as SoundClick.com and BeatSwagger.com are strong eCommerce forces that have been developed specifically for original music sales by independent producers. All you'll need is an account with one of these sites, original music loops and a little marketing to begin selling. While sales execution may take time, establishing an avenue to sell music loops only takes a couple of minutes.

Tips & Warnings
Perfect your craft. This is the first step to ensure your sales. If your material is good, everything else will come with time.
Make sure you promote your music loops. Without promotion, it's as though you don't even exist. No one will buy what they don't know about. Promotion and marketing strategies include posting advertisements on Twitter, Facebook, Ning, Bebo, MySpace and YouTube. These are the strongest social networking sites that can help you gain exposure and drive traffic to your music loops store.
Be reasonable and realistic when setting prices. While you may feel as though your work is worth millions, the reality is the average consumer doesn't have that type of capital to spend. Browse the site and study the pricing trends of others to determine a price you're both satisfied and comfortable with.
Make sure your music loops are original. Selling the creative work of someone else could result in long-term legal issues, such as copyright fines or lawsuits.
Sales success is not guaranteed. This is indeed a market that requires great effort for great success. In a nutshell, you get out of it exactly what you put into it.
Be patient and consistent in your sales efforts. Don't expect to sell all of your music loops in a matter of days or months. Everything takes time.
Most sites charge a small commission fee for music sales transactions conducted on their site. In most cases, the cost can range from 5 to 10 percent per sale. (For example, if one music loop is leased or exclusively sold for $5.00, the site's commission rate would be approximately $.25 to $.50, so you'd receive a payment of $4.50 or $4.75 for the sale.)
