    Instructions

      • 1

Disconnect the power supply from the wall outlet and, if possible, disconnect it from the back of the stereo CD player (not all Sony stereo CD players will have a detachable power supply).

      • 2

Check the power supply for any damage, fraying or chewed wires. Do not use the power supply if it shows serious physical damage; it needs to be replaced.

      • 3

Compare the operating voltage of the player to the operating voltage listed on the power supply, making sure they match. Locate the operating voltage of the stereo CD player on a nameplate on its back side.

      • 4

Reconnect the power supply firmly to the back of the stereo CD player.

      • 5

Connect the power supply to an electrical outlet, attempting to use a different outlet if the stereo CD player still doesn't function while connected to its original outlet.
