Greenpeace is a rewarding volunteer experience that can take you to all corners of the world while helping to accomplish the mission at hand. Greenpeace is a charity that is famous for its tireless work to prevent the degradation of the planet and to save the wildlife with which human beings share it. Joining Greenpeace can be done in several ways, allowing you to become involved to the degree you desire.

Instructions

  1. Getting a Job With Greenpeace

      Go to Greenpeace.org.

    • 2

      Click "TAKE ACTION" on the left sidebar.

    • 3

      Click "Jobs" for the paying jobs or "Internships" for the non-paying jobs that have potential to become paying jobs.

      Find a job for which you have suitable skills.

    • 5

      Email your resume with a cover letter identifying the specific job or the type of job for which you are applying and stating your salary requirements to resumes@wdc.greenpeace.org.

    Take Action

      Go to Greenpeace.org.

    • 7

      Click "TAKE ACTION."

    • 8

      Find a cause about which you are passionate and click the green "TAKE ACTION" button.

      Fill in your personal details and copy the email template that you are given or write your own in the box provided.

      Press the send button to send it to the intended business and/or person(s).

    Get Involved (Volunteer)

      Go to Greenpeace.org.

    • 12

      Select "Get Involved" in the left side bar under the "GREENPEACE" tab.

      Select one of the many ways you can volunteer from the list provided. The list has instructions on how to lead volunteer groups in your area, how to start a Greenpeace blog, how to start a student network, or how to spend a semester volunteering on Greenpeace projects. All of these options are found in the middle of the page, below the "VOLUNTEER" button.

      Select the volunteer work that you decide on, and click "Find out more," or if you'd like to fill out a general volunteer application, you may do so by clicking the big green "VOLUNTEER" button toward the top of the page.

      Select "Greenpeace Activist Network," "Greenpeace Student Network," or "Greenpeace Organizing Team" from the left sidebar if you would like to help to organize, or start a network of Greenpeace volunteers in your area. Each of these will give you the option to join the Facebook page of the Greenpeace Organizing Team, or to apply for the student network or activist network.

Tips & Warnings

  • You may make a financial donation by clicking the "JOIN GREENPEACE" tab toward the bottom of the page. The next page allows you to make a one-time or a monthly contribution for any amount you are comfortable with.
