1
Pre-treat the leather clothing by running a soft brush over any stained areas of those in need of treatment. There's no need to run this brush over the entirety of the clothing in question, but rather, to pre-treat stains and other areas in need of thorough cleaning. Do so until the stain begins to fade or erases completely, making sure to rub in soft strokes.

2
Create a mixture of soap and water, making sure the soap is mild, so as not to damage the leather being treated. Soap a soft cloth in the liquid, wring it and dab the cloth across the entirety of the clothing. Do not rub or wipe, as this can further stain unaffected areas. Dab as often as is necessary to clean the entire area.

3
Dab the clothing dry with a soft dry cloth, making sure to dry the entire area, as water can damage leather. Once the clothing is clean and dry, hang the clothing in a dry space with no air current. A laundry room, with the vent off, would be an ideal space for this, particularly if the air conditioning in the room is set to a comfortable setting, between 75 and 85 degrees.

4
Apply special leather conditioner to the clothing, if the leather requires further treatment. This includes any residual stains or wear on the leather. This conditioner can be purchased at most major department stores and shoe retailers, and should be applied as directed by the instructions on the container.
