How to Rent a Ball Pit

A ball pit is a fun, entertaining attraction to add to any kid's birthday party or event. They can be used indoors or outdoors. They come in various sizes and can be used for kids of all ages. Ball pits consist of plastic colorful balls in an inflatable or cushioned pit. This interactive game can be rented from a party rental company. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

    • 1

Locate a couple of party rental companies in your area. They can be found in your local phone book or over the Internet by searching using the keywords "party rental company + your state."

    • 2

Call each company to compare cost, deposit requirements, delivery fees--and find out about a policy on refunds if you're holding an outdoor event. Make notes of all information received to refer back to.

    • 3

Call to reserve your ball pit once you make your final decision on which company to use. Provide the company with your event date and time. Pay the reservation fee if it is a requirement.

    • 4

Prep the area that will contain the ball pit. Find out the dimensions of the ball pit and find out the minimum unobstructed area required to house the inflatable unit. If it will be outside, do not water the grass the night before, pick up any animal feces and keep all animals tied up during the event.

    • 5

Pay the remaining balance by cash, money order or credit card on the day of the event. Companies have different payment schedules. Some companies don't charge a reservation fee but will get your credit card information when you make your reservation and charge you the total amount the day before your event. Make sure you have a full understanding of the payment schedule.

Tips & Warnings

  • If you're looking for a ball pit for a toddler event look into purchasing your own ball pit from your local toy store. They can be purchased for a fraction of the cost to rent one.
