How to Zero in an Airsoft Scope
A sighting scope on an airsoft rifle improves the accuracy of the shots being fired. You must adjust the sighting scope, know as “zeroing it in,” so that it will work correctly with the airsoft rifle it is attached to. You do not need any special tools or expertise in weaponry to zero in the sighting scope. The procedure is straightforward and will adjust your sighting scope to function efficiently with your airsoft rifle. You will need a location where you can fire your airsoft rifle safely.
Instructions

-
1
Place your airsoft rifle on a table with the barrel facing to the right.
-
2
Loosen the side screws on the sighting scope using the Phillips-head screwdriver.
-
-
3
Pull out the locking plates on the bottom of the sighting scope with your fingers.
-
4
Place the sighting scope against the top of the airsoft rifle. Slide the sighting scope toward the read of the airsoft rifle. Stop sliding the sighting scope when the locking plate closest to the rear scope is even with the trigger.
-
5
Close the locking plates around the sides of the airsoft rifle. Tighten the screws with the Phillips-head screwdriver.
-
6
Draw a circle in the center of a sheet of paper with a pencil.
-
7
Go outside in your backyard. Tape the sheet of paper to a tree or rock with strips of duct tape.
-
8
Stand away from the sheet of paper. Aim the airsoft rifle at the sheet of paper. Sight through the scope at the circle drawn on the sheet of paper. Fire the airsoft rifle five times at the circle.
-
9
Inspect the holes shot at the circle. Draw an “X” in the average center of the group of five shots with the pencil. Gauge where the shots need to be placed in order to hit the circle; for example, a little more to the left and a bit more up.
-
10
Turn the side wheel on the sighting scope with the screwdriver to change the angle of the shot; for example, turn the side wheel two clicks counterclockwise to change the angle of the shot a little bit more to the left.
-
11
Turn the top wheel on the sighting scope with the screwdriver to change the angle of the shot; for example, turn the top wheel two clicks clockwise to change the angle of the shot a bit more up.
-
12
Fire the airsoft rifle five times at the circle. Inspect the holes shot at the circle. Make further adjustments if needed.
