How to Make a Fast LEGO Car

Lego brand construction blocks enable a person to make all sorts of things in a very few minutes. You can make a fast Lego car from a few parts taken out of a Lego construction kit or purchased individually from a hobby shop. You will not need any tools or glue, nor is any special skill required for assembly. Your Lego car will zip across the floor once you give it a push.

Things You'll Need

  • 2 green blocks, 6 pips long
  • 2 black rods, 10 pips long
  • 4 gray clips
  • 4 wheels

Instructions

    • 1

      Place the green blocks side-by-side on a table with the pips facing up. Press the two green blocks together, aligning the holes in both blocks.

    • 2

      Slide the end of one of the black rods into the leftmost hole in the left side of the two green blocks. Stop sliding the black rod when both ends are even with each other.

    • 3

      Slide a gray clip onto each end of the black rod. Stop sliding the gray clips when they meet the side of the two green blocks. Place a wheel on each of the ends of the black rod.

    • 4

      Repeat this entire process with the other black rod, clips and wheels on the other end of the two green blocks.

Tips & Warnings

  • You can substitute bottle caps for the wheels.

  • Small parts can be dangerous around very young children.
